Red Bull Ring circuit map print

Not a track outline: a real map of the circuit and the land around it.

A map artwork of the Red Bull Ring, its angular lap drawn in dark teal across a Styrian hillside: long straights joined by a hairpin and a sweeping S. Olive green woods and cream fields surround it, with pale lanes, car parks and shaded relief in the heritage style.

The Red Bull Ring climbs a green Styrian hillside above Spielberg, and its lap is little more than three long straights joined up and down the slope.

The lap, and the ground it runs over

It opened in 1969 as the Österreichring, a sweeping lap through the mountains. Hermann Tilke shortened it in the 1990s as the A1-Ring, and after it closed in 2004 Dietrich Mateschitz bought it, rebuilt it and reopened it in 2011. The start climbs steeply away from the pits, through the corner renamed Niki Lauda Kurve in 2019, and keeps climbing to the slow hairpin at the top of the site.

From there the lap runs back down the hill, and the last corner before the pits is Rindt, named for Jochen Rindt, the Austrian driver who was world champion in 1970. On the artwork the relief darkens towards the wooded slopes above the lap, and the fields, lanes and car parks of the Mur valley fill the ground below it.

The designer opens with the lap already drawn and the frame fitted to it. Write your title and the line beneath it, choose from 19 styles, and preview the finished artwork before you buy.

Questions

Which Red Bull Ring layout is drawn?

The full circuit, the 4.300 km lap used for the Austrian Grand Prix. The shorter layouts cut across inside it, so a track day on either still belongs on this map.

Can I add my lap time or finishing position?

Yes. The title and the line beneath it are yours to write, so a lap time, a result, a race or a date all fit. The Red Bull Ring lap and its length are drawn for you, and you see the finished artwork before you buy.

Where does the lap length come from?

It is measured from the track itself, as mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors, so it can differ by a few metres from the figure a circuit publishes.

Is this an official Red Bull Ring product?

No. Maps & Son is not affiliated with or endorsed by Red Bull Ring or its owners. The name says which place is mapped: this is a map of the circuit and the land around it, drawn from OpenStreetMap.

How much does a race circuit print cost?

Prints start at £24.95, printed on 240 gsm smooth fine-art paper, with delivery included to the UK and 25 other countries. Sold as A4, A3, A2 or A1 prints, unframed, at standard sizes so a ready-made frame will fit.
