Albert Park circuit map print

Not a track outline: a real map of the circuit and the land around it.

A map artwork of Albert Park, its lap drawn as a white line that circles a long, pale cream lake with a dark island in it. Olive green parkland fills the frame, crossed by the darker street grids of the surrounding suburbs, in the olive style.

For most of the year the Albert Park circuit is just the roads around a lake in an inner Melbourne park, driven by commuters and lined with parked cars.

The lap, and the ground it runs over

Racing first came to the park in the 1950s, when the Australian Grand Prix was held here in 1953 and again in 1956, anticlockwise round the lake. The present circuit opened in 1996 and runs the other way, clockwise, on everyday roads, with Lakeside Drive forming the back of the lap. Before the 2022 race the track was widened in places and two corners were taken out.

Albert Park Lake was once a lagoon on an old course of the Yarra River, and it fills the middle of the artwork, its islands and jetties drawn in. The lap traces its shore, and the street grids of the surrounding suburbs press in from both sides.

The designer opens with the lap already drawn and the frame fitted to it. Write your title and the line beneath it, choose from 19 styles, and preview the finished artwork before you buy.

Questions

Which Albert Park layout is drawn?

The circuit as it is mapped today, the 5.308 km lap round the lake, including the changes made before the 2022 race.

Can I add my lap time or finishing position?

Yes. The title and the line beneath it are yours to write, so a lap time, a result, a race or a date all fit. The Albert Park lap and its length are drawn for you, and you see the finished artwork before you buy.

Where does the lap length come from?

It is measured from the track itself, as mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors, so it can differ by a few metres from the figure a circuit publishes.

Is this an official Albert Park product?

No. Maps & Son is not affiliated with or endorsed by Albert Park or its owners. The name says which place is mapped: this is a map of the circuit and the land around it, drawn from OpenStreetMap.

How much does a race circuit print cost?

Prints start at £24.95, printed on 240 gsm smooth fine-art paper, with delivery included to the UK and 25 other countries. Sold as A4, A3, A2 or A1 prints, unframed, at standard sizes so a ready-made frame will fit.
