Knockhill sits high in the hills north of Dunfermline, in Fife, and is Scotland's national motorsport centre.
The lap, and the ground it runs over
It opened in 1974 and packs a lot of climbing and dropping into a short lap. Its corners include the Duffus Dip, a drop and rise that unsettles every car, Taylor's Hairpin and Clark's.
Around the lap the artwork shows the paddock roads, the farm tracks and the small pond inside the circuit, set in the open hill country it overlooks.

Questions
Is a lap this short big enough for a print?
Yes. The frame is fitted to the lap, so the 2.035 km circuit fills the artwork as fully as a long one, and a small circuit is drawn at a closer scale, so the paddock and tracks around it show in finer detail.
