Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit map print

Not a track outline: a real map of the circuit and the land around it.

A map artwork of the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari at Imola, its lap drawn in orange red beside a blue river, with the town's cream street grid beyond. Rolling hills to the south show in soft contour lines on a deep chocolate brown ground, in the seabrown style.

Imola's circuit runs along the bank of the Santerno, across the river from the town, and it is one of the few major tracks raced anticlockwise.

The lap, and the ground it runs over

Motorcycles raced here first, in 1953. The circuit took Dino Ferrari's name in 1957, after Enzo Ferrari's son died young, and Enzo's own name was added in 1988, the year he died. From 1981 until 2006 it held the San Marino Grand Prix. It is also where Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna were killed in 1994, Senna at Tamburello, which was slowed afterwards.

On the artwork the river curls along the northern edge of the lap, with Imola's streets packed in beyond it. The line turns away from the water and climbs into the foothills through Tosa and Piratella, drops back through Acque Minerali, and returns along the valley floor by Rivazza, the parkland paths inside the lap drawn in.

The designer opens with the lap already drawn and the frame fitted to it. Write your title and the line beneath it, choose from 19 styles, and preview the finished artwork before you buy.

Questions

Which Imola layout is drawn?

The circuit as it runs today, the 4.904 km lap with the chicanes at Tamburello and Variante Villeneuve that were added after 1994.

Can I add my lap time or finishing position?

Yes. The title and the line beneath it are yours to write, so a lap time, a result, a race or a date all fit. The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari lap and its length are drawn for you, and you see the finished artwork before you buy.

Where does the lap length come from?

It is measured from the track itself, as mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors, so it can differ by a few metres from the figure a circuit publishes.

Is this an official Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari product?

No. Maps & Son is not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari or its owners. The name says which place is mapped: this is a map of the circuit and the land around it, drawn from OpenStreetMap.

How much does a race circuit print cost?

Prints start at £24.95, printed on 240 gsm smooth fine-art paper, with delivery included to the UK and 25 other countries. Sold as A4, A3, A2 or A1 prints, unframed, at standard sizes so a ready-made frame will fit.
