Mugello circuit map print

Not a track outline: a real map of the circuit and the land around it.

A map artwork of Mugello, its lap drawn as a thin red line looping up and down a ridged Tuscan hillside, with a long straight down its middle. Soft grey hill shading, fine contours and grey lanes surround it on a pale paper ground, in the japanese ink style.

Mugello lies in the hills north of Florence, near Scarperia, and the shading on the map makes plain how little of its lap is level.

The lap, and the ground it runs over

Road races ran on the public roads of the Mugello valley from the 1920s until 1970, and the permanent circuit opened to the east of the old course in 1974. Ferrari has owned it since 1988 and tests here, and in 2020 it held its first world championship car race, the Tuscan Grand Prix, which was Ferrari's thousandth.

The long start straight drops into the hard stop for Curva San Donato, and from there the lap climbs and falls with the ground: up towards Luco and Poggio Secco, down through Casanova and Savelli, then over the brow at Arrabbiata 2. On the artwork the ridges shade grey around the red line, with the hillside lanes of the valley threaded between them.

The designer opens with the lap already drawn and the frame fitted to it. Write your title and the line beneath it, choose from 19 styles, and preview the finished artwork before you buy.

Questions

Which Mugello layout is drawn?

The full circuit, the 5.245 km lap. Whether your day was on two wheels or four, this is the track you rode or drove.

Can I add my lap time or finishing position?

Yes. The title and the line beneath it are yours to write, so a lap time, a result, a race or a date all fit. The Mugello lap and its length are drawn for you, and you see the finished artwork before you buy.

Where does the lap length come from?

It is measured from the track itself, as mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors, so it can differ by a few metres from the figure a circuit publishes.

Is this an official Mugello product?

No. Maps & Son is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mugello or its owners. The name says which place is mapped: this is a map of the circuit and the land around it, drawn from OpenStreetMap.

How much does a race circuit print cost?

Prints start at £24.95, printed on 240 gsm smooth fine-art paper, with delivery included to the UK and 25 other countries. Sold as A4, A3, A2 or A1 prints, unframed, at standard sizes so a ready-made frame will fit.
