A gift that is as right in year ten as in year one

Anniversary gifts tend to mark the number. A map marks the place: the church, the register office, the beach or the hotel garden where you both stood. The date under it never changes, so the print that suits a first anniversary still suits a tenth. Most couples choose where they married. Some choose where they got engaged, or the first flat they shared.

A first anniversary is paper, and so is this

Tradition gives every wedding anniversary a material, and the first is paper. It is the year people find hardest, because paper sounds like a card and little else. A map answers it literally: it is printed at 300 DPI on 240 gsm smooth fine-art paper, so the gift is paper in the proper sense and not a nod towards the rule.

Full width, in Ivory ink

For an anniversary we suggest the Full width border. The map fills the upper part of the sheet from side to side, and your names and date sit on a band of plain paper below it, the way a gallery print is laid out.

Ivory ink is the style to pair with it: near-black lines on an ivory ground, which looks like ink on good paper because that is what it is. For a later year you might match the colour to the anniversary instead. Midnight blue draws its roads in gold on deep navy.

We did not marry at a licensed venue. Can you still map it?
